A web is an open platform that would allow everyone, everywhere to share information, access opportunities and collaborate across geographic and cultural boundaries. But through my observation i have seen that the way web systems are being utilized will bring chaos in future for example the issue of fake news. Therefore, we must tackle the issue earlier in order for the web to fulfill its true potential as a tool which serves all of humanity.
According to Sir Tim Berners Lee the web inventor highlighted 3 dark trends that could destroy the web and these are as follows;
1) We’ve lost control of our personal data
2) It’s too easy for misinformation to spread on the web
3) Political advertising online needs transparency and understanding
