TOPIC: RESEARCH TIPS 1

Dear members,

Let's go through the following TIPS on research activities. Research and Development Network would like to have great researchers in the world to tackle different problems that affect societies. Today we gonna look at the following issues;

DETERMINING THE TYPE OF RESEARCH ASSISTANT YOU WANT TO BE
The follow highlighted details determines you to be a Research Assistant;

1. Choose a field or industry to focus on.
Narrow down the areas that you are interested in and qualified for, since there are many fields.

2. Identify the skills and traits needed.
There are some skills that all research assistants should possess in order to be successful. Some are identified here but more tips will follow to elaborate one by one;
 Have strong reading comprehension skills.
 Able to take direction from others
 Able to pay close attention to details
 Must have a methodical approach to work activities
 Must be punctual and well organized
 Have keen interested in the subject matter
 Well-versed in the subject area
 Must be patient in regards to work activities and project goals
 Must work well with others, and be motivated to be part of a team
 May need to be manually dexterous(if using specialized equipment in experiments)
 Able to use computer programs to collect and organize data.- Be relatively computer savvy

3. Determine if you meet the necessary qualifications.
This aspect is related to the above tip on identifying skills and traits needed. So after the identification that’s when you can judge yourself whether you qualify or not?
